What we do at LBCC
The Adult Basic Skills program offers four options for students that are ready to pursue their goals.
GED(r) Preparation
Do you need help preparing for the GED(r) exams? We’re the experts. Our experienced instructors are here to help you gain the skills you need to soar through those tests with ease!
Spanish GED Preparation
Are you a Spanish speaker? Would you like to take your GED(r) tests in Spanish? We have GED(r) prep classes for you! Our experienced instructors, fluent in Spanish, are here to support you and help you pass your GED(r) tests.
Adult Basic Education (ABE)
Are you planning to attend LBCC but need to brush up on your basic skills before starting? Did you take your college placement test and didn’t score as high as you’d hoped? Have you been away from school for a while and want to practice your computer skills before starting credit classes? We’re here for you. We offer a variety of classes to help you refresh your skills in math, writing, computer, and more.
English Language Acquisition (ELA)
Are you living in the United States permanently? Do you need to boost your English skills so you can do better in your job, get a better job, and/or go to college? Our ELA classes provide a welcoming environment to support your journey to learn English.
